Fortunately today in the Formula 1 Turbos are forbidden. Turbos were allowed till 1986. In 1986 they banned Turbos because of several deadly accidents. They reached 900-1350hp with their little 3 litre engines... Now imagine todays Formula 1 engines (2.4 litre, 900hp @ over 19.000 rpm) with Turbos. Overkill...

civic is nothing else but merely a weapon of choice.. it is a really light chasis therefore many use it for the sake of weight/power ratio.. the real killer is the motor thats inside it. besides with so many ricers out there owning civics its really hard to tell nowadays who actually have a beast sleeping inside the hood. I personally own a civic myself its not riced out.. I have an actual beast sleeping inside the hood :]

I own, regrettably, a GM-made Vehicle upon which all what I say herein is true! 1- Poor Build Quality. Cheap Door handles etc 2- Very Poor Gas Mileage. (Tune Up done) 3- Very Poor Power for a V6 3.4L Engine. 4- Erratic Electrical Problems. 5- Non-Stop Failures after 203,000 KM. 6- Intake Manifold Gasket is Plastic! 7- VERY expensive parts (VW or BMW parts cost less!) 8- Poor Suspension (feel every dent) 9- Most parts are made in Mexico (not US). 10- I will NEVER buy a GM ever again!

not fully familia with the options with this engine but its down fall is the fact that it can onlypush two valves whilst with a dohc ur pushin four giving u beter power nd putin beter force on the turbines of a turbo charger. nd most high performance pushrod v8s have superchargers which have allot of movin parts while a turbo has very little and can produce allot more power more effciently. nd with all those rods movin dont u think thersmore movment goin on instead of two cams

the engine in the ka isnt a kent, just a very cheap imitation of a great engine that stoped being made in 1980, the engine was then changed internaly but kept the same basic shape and design and was calle a valencia, nowhere near as strong as the english built kent pre crossflow and crossflows.

The video says one full cycle of the machine is four turns on the handle and not one. Then again, this thing is not a fully programmable computer. It's hardcoded to produce polynomial tables to a set number of decimalsm and it's of course not comparable to any clockspeed microprocessor of today. It also obviously does not fulfil any of Crysis' other requirements; there's no sound output for one, unless you count the mechanical grind of cogs and gears... ;)

Well, if you crank the handle at 1 revolution per second, this device is would be operating at 1 Hz. -which is about 18billion times slower than the minimum system requirements for Crysis (1.8GHz). Perhaps if you had Superman at the crank, but then the cogs and gears would obliterated by the frictional and centrifical forces generated. In short, Crysis would crash this machine like no other computer has ever been crashed!

He was able to visualize a very very very complicated machine that could solve mathematical equations seen as formidable during his time considering the fact that there were no electronic calculators back then. God bless mr Postgate. This programme was one of things that gone my interested in trains. Steam trains belong in wales, why would so many folks volunteer their free time to run the LLangolllen line. You start off saying how much easier you make it for everyone, some guy starts coding python in a way I've never seen it done before. I've taken python tutes and did well - but I'm a 10 year PHP, JavaScript and ActionScript developer so I'm going to need a lot better overview of what you're doing. Yes, no doubt they would have had access to CAD files, but that presents its own set of headaches. First off it's usually a massive amount of information when you're dealing with car stuff running into gigabites and it all needs to be made sense of. And second, you usually have to do a ton of work on the files to get them into the kind of shape you need for them to work cleanly in your 3d package.

I'm not sure if it is the case in Ford duratec engines in particular, but 1-3-4-2 is a common firing order in straight-four engines since it reduces vibration significantly and gives smoother power output since you have one power stroke for every 180 degrees of rotation of the crankshaft.
