I remember watching videos on MTV when the channel first started and I have to say that this is one the most entertaining videos I've seen sice MTV's inception. It doesn't preach anything and tells a cool little story. Song is great too. This is what music vids were meant to be. My other favorite is "Rocket" by the Smashing Pumpinks. Similar reasons. We need more vids like this. Oh wait, MTV doesn't play videos anymore. Guess it would be pointless then.

In an anime I saw "Shi" you say it means 4 but in the anime it was "shibukai" and it meant "seven" warlords of the sea so I thought "shi" means seven, the I saw "shi" in another word, it said "shigun" and "shi" was the finger, but all these "shi" comfused me so I thought I should ask someone who knows japanese, why the word wasn't "nanabukai" but "shibukai"? Yes, "Emergency On Planet Earth" was the first album Zender played on. However, "When You Gonna Learn" was released as a single on Acid Jazz records before Jay Kay had his own band. Just check the liner notes to "Emergency" and you'll see that it's Andrew Levy on bass. And come on, are you going to tell me that because there's an ape in this video he's on the album too?

The reason these artists are so captivating is because they absolutely understand form and denounce it. These are great videos! I'm just curious, how do you sharpen your pencils? The points seem really long and thin, almost like they have been whittled with a knife. I just use a mechanical sharpener... How much of a differece does that make?

Sure, if you have careful hands, then you can easily do it, but I have noticed that the graphite will smudge if you use those erasers. Also, try getting a click eraser. Those erase better, and won't leave any residue on your paper.

Your video series is amazing, but you MUST take the camera off of automatic white balance. If you lock the white balance down, the image wont shift from white to yellow constantly. But the content is great.

yay i got a kneaded eraser almost a year ago .. all my colleges at art school said that its worthless ( never saw 1 ) . i learned how to use it .. and now almost every college has one ^^ its really a great tool .

Neat work doing an overview of the subject. Anyhow, might be worth pointing out that not all brands are fully consistent. (As they should be) Some seem to be about 1 or 2 values off. (Not that you should plug any brand, but recommendations for good ones couldn't hurt.) Also I find that for consistent fine work, it's still hard to beat a mechanical pencil. And some places do sell mechanical leads in different values as well. Also where's the eraser shield and the drafting brush?They're handy too.

lol. you don't know the difference between "1" "2" and "3" pencils, yet, you know the difference for H(number) and B(number) pencils, which is actually the same idea. "1" is softest "2" is medium and "3" is hard. Oh, and, kneaded eraser=50% genius, 50% win. I've never heard of that thing before, and it really is amazing. You can make inverted pencil drawings with it!(And bubble letters)

The pencil has a long point for several reasons... 1) gives you more control over the lines and values you create 2) makes your 'sharp' point last longer 3) gives you reach. The long point allows your hand to be further back from paper so you don't smear your drawing. 4) gives you a finer line so when your designing, composing and measuring your drawing your line will be fine, clean and very very light... so it will fade away after you build your drawing.

Oh Great !!! Armed with this new information I might actually be able to stop now without having to crash into people. This is down to my ability to only go forwards though I can turn if I hit the front of my skis with the sticks to either the left or the right. I would not recommend this method as I have actually blinded 3 other people to date where I competely missed. Maybe I will make a video next week when in Austria :)

The bigger the slice of pizza ( i.e the wider the triangle /\ you make with your skis ) the slower you will go. The narrower your skis, the faster. And whatever you do, DON'T do what I did as a novice; I went straight into a French fry position at the top of a 100 meter slope, with ass-numbing consequences.
