I dont know why he didnt sing that last part. but I would think doing multiple shows on the road, singing the way he does, his vocal chords were most likely strained, fatigued or maybe he just had a soar throat. I wouldnt go so far as to say this is unprofessional. I mean if you injured your wrist at work, wouldnt you try to not use it until it healed?

I was loving EVERY moment of this until the last vocal part where Maynard hits his high powerful notes...and he does nothing, he throws his hands in the air like he's juggling. I understand that it takes a lot to pull it off and that throughout the entire song he does an excellent job...but IMO I thought that was way unprofessional, he wasn't moving much so he couldn't be out of breath apart from the mask he's wearing...so I dunno. People pay to see you perform...so give it to them :|

i love tool so much...its a shame that fewer people listen to the than the number of people that do. they have one of the most unique styles currently in existence. it seems that mainly the kind of people who get tool are musicians (to understand the sheer technicality many tool songs are based on) and potheads (if youve got stoned and listened to these guys, you know what i mean). thats not to say those are the only people who like them, just the number of people who dont surprises me .\../

First off, Tool is not like any other band. The only thing they have in common with other bands is that they play instruments. Second, Tool is much more than just a job for the members. It is their passion. At this point in their careers, they have enough money to stop making music and probably stop touring all together, but they don't because they genuinely enjoy what they do.

Tool, when it comes down to it, are just like any other band in the respect that they pick a subject and write a song about it. MJK is just very good with messages, it seems. Danny Carey is amazing with technical drum stuff. etc. They're just good at their job. That's all it is; their job.
